About the Hotel Federal:

A landmark since the early 1900s, Hotel Federal, fondly known as 'The Middle Pub' by locals, is a true gem on the northwest coast. Featuring a gaming lounge with 30 state-of-the-art gaming machines, local entertainment, and a burger bar, it truly stands out as a premier destination for locals, tourists, and passersby.

What you can expect in a day in this role:

In this role, you will be responsible for attending to enquiries from our gaming patrons, preparing food and beverages, and providing exceptional customer service.

Some of your day-to-day duties will include:

Manage and maintain gaming operations and functions
Assist patrons with food and beverage orders and general queries
Oversee and operate TAB services
Maintain cleanliness and uphold hygiene standards across all areas
Support food and beverage service in the Bistro and Burger Bar
Respond to general enquiries and handle customer complaints professionally

What you will bring to the role:

Along with excellent customer service and the ability to take initiative, you will have:

Demonstrated cash handling proficiency
Knowledge of all gaming machine regulations, compliance, operations, and procedures
An understanding of food & beverage products and services
A professional & mature “can-do” attitude with the ability to work autonomously
Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA) and Responsible Service of Gaming Certificate (RSG), or the ability to obtain these certificates
Ability to work a variety of night and weekend shifts, which may include public holidays.

A successful candidate in this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
