Galambila Aboriginal Health Service is seeking a passionate and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our dedicated Child and Family Health team.

About the Role
As a Speech Pathologist, you will assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for children and families experiencing communication, language, speech, and swallowing difficulties. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment to deliver holistic, culturally safe, and family-centred care. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and rewarding caseload while making a genuine impact on long-term outcomes for children and families within the local community.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs.
- Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based therapy plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to support communication development and functional outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, schools, early childhood services, and community stakeholders.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and coordinated care planning.
- Provide education, guidance, and support to families and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practice service delivery.
- Stay informed of contemporary research and developments within Speech Pathology practice.
About You
You are a compassionate and skilled clinician who is passionate about improving outcomes for children, families, and communities. You enjoy working collaboratively, building meaningful relationships, and delivering high-quality services that create lasting change.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Current Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status or eligibility with Speech Pathology Australia
- Demonstrated clinical experience working with children and families
- Experience managing a range of communication and developmental presentations
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and intervention skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
- A commitment to culturally safe, person-centred practice
- A passion for ongoing professional learning and development
