About the role
Based within the Women's & Babies Division, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, this role contributes to clinical services under consultant supervision across WCHN inpatient and outpatient settings, with a primary focus on Maternal-Fetal Medicine and COGU. The position also supports clinical teaching and active participation in departmental research projects.
Key duties of the role
Responsibilities span outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and procedural settings, covering the full scope of obstetric and fetal medicine practice under consultant supervision.
Active participation in departmental education, conferences, and supervision of junior Trainee Medical Officers is expected.
Participation in departmental research, clinical audit, and RANZCOG curriculum research requirements is an integral part of the role.
Contribution to quality improvement, clinical review programs, and data collection to measure clinical indicators is expected.
Contribute to a team environment that promotes positivity, learning and development, safety, and welfare of employees
Skills and Experience
MBBS or equivalent qualification, with eligibility for General Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
Ability to work as an effective team member in a multi-disciplinary environment
Advanced Trainee progressing towards Fellowship of the RANZCOG
Willingness to incorporate suggestions/feedback/complaints into personal improvement
