Your Role
Support the program aimed at reducing litter in the environment

A new Return and Earn bottle recycling facility has recently opened in Emu Plains, a full-time team member is required. This hands-on role involves receiving recyclable drink containers from customers, operating a semi-automated sorting machine and troubleshooting equipment issues when required. You will also use a point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately process sales/refunds, where attention to detail and integrity are essential. Strong customer service skills, the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, a solid work ethic and ability to perform well in a fast-paced workplace are key to success in this role.
On the job training in using specialised equipment will be provided. A current Forklift Licence is Desirable (Counter Balance). Experience or knowledge of working within a factory environment is also desirable or someone who is willing to work on their feet for a set period of time.
Your Responsibility
Provide excellent customer service
Operate equipment used for bulk sorting of recyclable drink containers
Use forklift to empty bins of sorted recyclable containers
Operate point of sale system for accurate sales and refund transactions
Assist in other activities i.e. housekeeping, maintenance of warehouse equipment, reporting faulty equipment needing repair, etc.
You Will Need
Excellent communication skills and ability to provide outstanding customer service
Experience in using forklifts and a current valid Forklift Licence
Experience working within a warehouse and/or production environment
Capacity to perform manual/physical tasks
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and independently
Thorough understanding of work, health and safety requirements within a warehouse environment.
