As the Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 – McGrath Breast Care Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in delivering expert, person-centred care to people diagnosed with breast cancer across their treatment journey. Working autonomously and in close collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and McGrath Breast Care Nurse CNC, you will provide comprehensive clinical assessment, care coordination, education, advocacy and ongoing support to patients and their families. You will apply advanced clinical expertise to manage complex care needs, provide specialist advice to healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of evidence-based breast cancer services in line with the McGrath Model of Care. This leadership role also offers the opportunity to mentor and support colleagues, champion best practice, and help shape high-quality, compassionate cancer care that improves outcomes for the communities we serve.

Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital is the main referral hospital for the Shoalhaven region, providing emergency care, medical, surgical and orthopaedic services. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit focusing on high dependency and coronary patients, Children’s Ward and Maternity Unit, as well as a purpose-built regional Cancer Care Centre.

- Current AHPRA Registration
- Relevant post-registration qualification (such as a Graduate Certificate in Cancer Nursing) and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate
This is a temporary parental leave relief position until 27 June 2027 with the possibility of an extension at same or reduced hours
