Metal Roofing Apprentice
About the role
Join Kerrect Roofing as an Apprentice Roof Plumber / Metal Roofing Apprentice working across the Illawarra and surrounding areas. This full-time opportunity will provide hands-on training and the chance to build a rewarding career in the roofing and construction industry.
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age to be considered for this apprenticeship position.
What you’ll be doing
Assisting with the installation, repair and maintenance of metal roofing and related building components
Learning how to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Operating a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Gaining experience in roof plumbing and metal fabrication techniques
Adhering to all relevant safety standards and regulations
Participating in on-the-job training and attending TAFE/trade classes to develop your skills
What we’re looking for
A strong interest and willingness to learn the roofing trade
Good hand-eye coordination and physical fitness
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Driver licence and access to a vehicle preferred
White Card preferred
