The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of quality, individualised care to patients within the Shoalhaven Cancer Care Centre, which incorporates the Oncology Day Care Unit, Nurse Led Clinic and the Radiotherapy Department.
It also includes providing relief at Milton Ulladulla Cancer Centre when required.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of person centred; evidence- based nursing care that promotes positive health outcomes.
The Registered nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
The Registered Nurse will work in therapeutic and professional relationships with individuals, as well as families, groups and communities.
The Registered Nurse will assist in the provision of supervision and support for less experienced clinicians and will maintain their professional accountability and development in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia’s Standards of Practice.

Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital is the main referral hospital for the Shoalhaven region, providing emergency care, medical, surgical and orthopaedic services. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit focusing on high dependency and coronary patients, Children’s Ward and Maternity Unit, as well as a purpose-built regional Cancer Care Centre.
The hospital is currently undergoing a significant $440M redevelopment that will redefine how healthcare is delivered within the Region. Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Recent clinical experience in a health care setting, with an interest in Medical Oncology, Haematology and/ or Radiation Oncology
This role has Permanent Full time and Part Time positions available as well as a Temporary Part Time leave relief position available until 28 February 2027.
