Content Creator (Marketing) – Full-Time

Salary: from AUD 80.000-85.000 per annum + superannuation ,depending on experience.
About Beautylashious
Beautylashious is an established Australian beauty business with salons on the Gold Coast, in Brisbane and Cairns, as well as its own Beauty Academy.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Content Creator (Marketing) to take a strategic, editorial and hands-on approach to our digital content and marketing.
Working closely with management, you will help shape how our brand, salons and Academy are communicated across digital platforms — from initial ideas and campaign concepts through to production, publication, analysis and optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement content and social media strategies across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other digital platforms
- Plan, create, edit and publish engaging photo, video and written content
- Develop editorial concepts, content series, campaigns and launch strategies that support brand awareness, audience growth, client enquiries, Academy enrolments and sales
- Create both educational and promotional content for our Beauty Academy
- Develop interview concepts and questions and conduct engaging interviews with team members, clients, models, Academy students and other participants
- Produce and edit Reels, short-form videos, interviews, treatment videos and marketing assets
- Manage content calendars, publishing schedules and the ongoing development of our social media channels
- Write captions, marketing copy and other digital content
- Plan, monitor and optimise paid social media campaigns
- Analyse content and campaign performance and use insights to continuously improve reach, engagement, leads and conversions
- Contribute to the strategic development of website and landing-page content, structure and digital customer journeys
- Maintain consistent brand identity, messaging and visual communication across all digital channels
- Independently plan and conduct content shoots across our locations, including lighting, sound and visual setup
- Follow appropriate content permissions, consent and image/audio usage requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated professional experience in content creation, social media and digital marketing
- Strong strategic and editorial thinking — you understand the purpose behind content, not just how to create it
- Strong video production, editing and visual content creation skills
- Experience managing and developing social media channels
- Strong understanding of branding, storytelling, target audiences and digital consumer behaviour
- Ability to translate business ideas into clear content concepts, campaigns and marketing activities
- Experience with social media analytics, performance optimisation and paid digital campaigns
- Confident communication skills and the ability to develop and conduct engaging interviews
- Experience with tools such as Canva, CapCut, photo-editing software and modern AI-assisted content tools
- Ability to independently manage content projects from initial concept through production, editing and publication
- Creative, commercially minded and highly organised working style
- An understanding of the beauty industry and/or experience creating content for beauty, lifestyle or female-focused brands is highly regarded
- Willingness to travel regularly between the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Cairns
Confidence and willingness to occasionally appear on camera as a host or presenter would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Location & Working Arrangement
This is a full-time hybrid position primarily based on the Gold Coast.
The role combines on-site and remote work. Some days will be spent at our Gold Coast location collaborating with management and the salon team, developing concepts and producing content. Other days may be worked remotely and focused on editing, planning, campaign development, publishing, analytics and other digital marketing activities.
Regular travel to our Brisbane and Cairns locations is an important part of the position. You will travel independently or alongside management to conduct content shoots, capture salon and Academy content and work with our teams across all three locations.
The successful candidate must therefore be based on or within practical commuting distance of the Gold Coast and comfortable with regular travel.
The Role
This is a hands-on strategic and editorial content role. We are not looking solely for a Social Media Manager or Video Editor.
We are looking for someone who can understand the business behind the content, identify opportunities, think creatively and commercially, develop ideas and campaigns, and independently turn them into high-quality digital content.
