Description:
MPK are seeking an experienced Field Mechanic to join our team on a 15:13 roster. Based out of Wellcamp, Toowoomba this role will report into our back-to-back Maintenance Superintendents.
About the Role:
- Work to conduct scheduled and preventative maintenance on vehicles/equipment
- Mobilise in-field to repair vehicle/equipment for MPK crews when requested
- Record and report all work performed to Leading Hand Mechanic or Supervisor
- Seals & bearings, axle change, suspension, brakes, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrics, basic intermediate welding & grinding and general mechanical repair works
- Servicing and repairs on telehandlers, EWPs, pumps and general plant
- Attend to breakdowns and troubleshooting of Flares
- Servicing of Light vehicles, light trucks, and heavy vehicles in the NHVAS maintenance management accreditation Scheme
- Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to optimize store inventory
- Report item usage from store inventory to Leading Hand or Supervisor
- Maintain stock and fluids in service vehicle at all times
- Service vehicle must be kept clean and inventory maintained
- Must be familiar with NHVAS maintenance management accreditation scheme requirements and responsibilities
- Provide accurate tools inventory list and check over tools to ensure no missing/damaged tools before changing out
- Conduct face-to-face handovers with appropriate notes with opposite shift when possible.
- Replace or reorder any lost or damaged tools for the opposite shift
- Always ensure proper housekeeping in work areas
- HSEQ awareness
Skills and Experiences:
About You:
- 4WD Operate Vehicles in the field (PMASUP236)
- Heavy Diesel qualification
- Drilling & Completions General Induction/Industry Safety Induction
- CPR (HLTAID001) and First Aid (HLTAID002 + HLTAID003)
- Forklift licence
- HR or HC licence and Manual car license
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Good communication skills
- Computer skills (advantageous)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the industry
