This is an exciting opportunity for those who found their passion for metal work at school - whether through school projects, work experience or hands-on DIY at home. This is your chance to work with a local company in the engineering space and join a in-demand occupation.
As an apprentice, you’ll work toward a nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, gaining real-world experience in fitting, machining and precision metalwork.
Some of Your Duties Will Include:
- Assisting in the setup, operation and maintenance of manual and CNC machines.
- Learning to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Performing measurements using precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Cutting, shaping and assembling metal components to exact specifications.
- Operating tools and machinery safely under supervision.
- Helping with repair and maintenance of mechanical systems and components.
- Cleaning and preparing workspaces and equipment.
- Following WHS procedures and participating in safety initiatives.
- Supporting tradespeople with general workshop tasks and production jobs.
How to Get Started:
- Have a genuine passion in the trade - we’re after someone who enjoys working with their hands, has an interest in metal work and learning how things work.
- Drivers Licence (Preferred)
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and commitment to completing your 4 year apprenticeship.
