Full Job Description

Pearl Home Care offers the best in professional and affordable in-home aged and disability care so that you or your loved one can continue living comfortably and independently at home. We are Australia’s most trusted home care professionals, with a national network of qualified and friendly care providers who offer home health care, education and support to aged care and NDIS participants.

We are currently seeking Home Care / Support Workers who are passionate about providing high quality care to our aged care clients across Canberra and the Queanbeyan area.

Employment status: Casual with a view to permanent part-time for suitable candidates.

Duties and responsibilities:

Personal care and support
Domestic assistance in client’s household
Social support and client’s transportation
Supporting clients with challenging needs
Monitoring and report client’s progress and health status
Attending training and meetings as required

Knowledge / experience/ attributes:

The successful candidates should possess, but not limited to, the following:

Motivation and commitment to caring for the elderly and/or people with disability who may have challenging behaviour
Certificate III in Aged Care / Certificate IV in Home and Community Care or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of experience in community aged care or equivalent
Evidence of good communication skills, including basic skills in written and spoken English
Evidence of good team building and interpersonal skills
Basic computer knowledge or skills
First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
Current driver’s license, good driving record
A reliable car with comprehensive car insurance
Smart Phone with internet access
National Police Clearance
Flu vaccination
