Remuneration: $40.02– $56.19 per hour
Location: Westmead, Blacktown Mount Druitt Hospitals

Where you’ll be working

Blacktown Mount Druitt Hospital and Westmead Hospital are leading facilities within the Western Sydney Local Health District, providing exceptional care to patients and their families across a wide range of clinical specialties.
You will be joining a highly skilled, collaborative, and supportive team committed to delivering the highest quality of care to critically ill and premature babies.

What you’ll be doing

As a Registered Nurse in our NICU casual pool, you will deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care to infants and their families. You will play a key role in ensuring optimal outcomes for patients while working within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Provide individualised, evidence-based nursing care for neonates in intensive care
Support families through advocacy, education, and compassionate care
Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff and students in the clinical setting
Contribute to quality improvement and safe work practices within the NICU

Essential Requirements

Registration: Currently authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria:

Recent relevant experience in clinical setting as deemed appropriate by WSLHD.

Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients.

Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail.

Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems.
