About the Role

We’re seeking a hands-on, safety-driven mechanic to join our on-site wind farm operations team in Geraldton, Western Australia.

This permanent role operates on a four-day week roster, with occasional overtime, so we’re looking for someone who already lives locally or is prepared to relocate to Geraldton. In this position, you’ll carry out scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting and repair work, component exchanges and planned work on high-performance wind turbines and associated infrastructure. Every day offers fresh air, varied scenery, and the chance to work with cutting-edge technology. The successful candidate will be trained to become a Wind Turbine Technician, focusing on routine maintenance, breakdown repairs, and implementation of upgrades on local turbines—and potentially supporting sites across Australia when required.

What you’ll do
- Perform planned mechanical preventative maintenance routines and make performance checks as required.
- Repair, refurbish or replace defective plant equipment and perform corrective maintenance activities as required to restore plant and equipment performance.
- Operate and / or assist with the operation of all assigned plants.
- Document all activities, readings taken, materials and time used to input information into the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance requirements by performing technical procedures, inspections, and test plans.
- Respond to afterhours call out in accordance with the Standby/call out roster.
- Participate in appropriate training both formally and informally (by passing on own expertise) as required.
- Occasional travel across sites and locations to support maintenance across different platforms and locations as required.
What you’ll have
- Accredited Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Strong safety awareness and practical problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working at heights and in variable weather
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies
- Industrial mechanical experience
- Current C class Driver’s License
