With strong growth across mining, construction, agriculture and port industries, we are expanding our Southwest operations and seeking qualified Industrial Spray Painter (ANZSCO 711211) to join our Bunbury team.
About the Role
This full‑time, ongoing position involves industrial surface preparation, abrasive blasting and application of protective coatings to structural steel, machinery and rubber‑lined components. Work is performed in both workshop and onsite environments.
Key Responsibilities:
· Cleaning, sanding, grinding and preparing surfaces to remove rust, scale, dirt and contaminants
· Abrasive blasting surfaces to achieve required profiles and specifications
· Mixing, matching and preparing paints, coatings and materials according to job requirements
· Applying primers, sealers, two‑pack coatings and industrial finishes using airless and conventional spray equipment
· Masking and protecting areas not to be coated
· Inspecting completed work to ensure coating thickness, adhesion and finish meet specifications
· Measuring and recording dry film thickness (DFT), conducting salt testing and completing paint reports
· Maintaining spray guns, blasting equipment and associated tools
· Managing paint and consumable inventory and reporting shortages
· Following safety procedures and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and specifications

What You Bring
· Trade qualification in spray painting or equivalent experience consistent with ANZSCO 711211
· Demonstrated experience in industrial spray painting, blasting and coating application
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
· Ability to work independently and within a team environment
· Flexibility to work overtime, travel and undertake site‑based work
· Professional, proactive and hands‑on approach
