About the Role
We now have the opportunity for a Cost Controller to join our Project Controls Team on a permanent full-time basis. Based at our CBD Head Office, you will be working collaboratively and closely with the entire team. Duties include:
- Setting and maintaining cost budgets for projects based on tender estimates
- Preparation of internal and client invoicing and supporting documentation
- Maintaining all cost commitments, including review of internal and third-party costs
- Preparing monthly project cost and revenue forecasts and assist in producing monthly Contract Status Reports
- Providing cost control support and assistance, including project close out and lessons learnt
- Inputting client variations and maintain current contract value and budgets
- Reviewing of requisitions and commitments for compliance to project cost coding
- Preparing consolidated project invoicing forecasts
- Assist with office and site timekeeping systems and reporting
What You'll Need
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualification in finance/accounting, engineering, project management, or related discipline
- Post-graduate experience in a cost controller or similar role
- Understanding and application of project cost management principles
- Demonstrated ability to maintain quality and attention to detail when working to deadlines in a fast paced and changing environment
- High levels of computer literacy including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and reporting systems like Pronto, Power BI, Tableau, and Microsoft Office suite
- Experience working for a construction contractor in the mining/resources industry is highly desirable
