Whalers Restaurant – Exmouth, WA

Whalers Restaurant is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Duty Manager / Shift Supervisor to join our team on a full-time basis.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong experience in coffee, cocktails, customer service, and team management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise daily restaurant operations
Deliver exceptional customer service and support the team during busy service periods
Prepare high-quality coffee and demonstrate strong latte art skills
Mix and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits to a high standard
Assist with staff training and development
Manage opening and closing procedures
Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, food safety, and workplace regulations
Maintain a positive and professional team environment

Essential Requirements

Current Approved Manager Certification (required)
Previous experience in a supervisory, duty manager, or hospitality management role
Advanced barista skills, including latte art
Strong knowledge of cocktails, mixology, spirits, wine, and bartending
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
