Job description
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Equipment Deployment
- Install and set up dewatering systems, including pumps, hoses, and related components.
- Ensure proper alignment and secure connections for effective water removal.
- Assist with mobilization and demobilization of dewatering equipment on project sites.
Monitoring and Control
- Operate and monitor dewatering equipment to maintain site-specific water levels.
- Adjust settings and configurations to meet changing project requirements.
- Continuously observe pump performance and water levels to ensure efficiency.
Maintenance and Inspection
- Perform regular inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.
- Conduct routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement.
- Maintain operational reliability by proactively addressing equipment issues.
Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve operational issues using technical tools and methods.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to address faults and minimize downtime.
- Identify root causes of equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
Data Collection and Reporting
- Track and log key performance metrics, including water levels and pump output.
- Prepare accurate reports documenting system performance and maintenance activities.
- Maintain up-to-date records for operational transparency and compliance.
Safety Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols during equipment setup, operation, and maintenance.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and relevant training sessions.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and report any hazards or incidents.

- Monitor and manage dewatering equipment and spare parts inventory.
- Ensure timely procurement of required components to avoid operational delays.
- Keep detailed records of equipment usage, stock levels, and maintenance history.
Required Skills Qualifications & Experience
Education/Certificates
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in dewatering operations or a related field.
Experience & Knowledge
Experience in dewatering or related fields with basic technical knowledge of pumps and water systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Effective communicator with a commitment to safety and compliance.
- Skilled in budgeting, resource allocation, and operational forecasting for efficiency and cost control.
