We are currently partnering with the WA Country Health Service to recruit a Consultant Intensivist to join the team at Geraldton Regional Hospital. This is a great opportunity to step into a brand-new ICU service and play a key role in shaping critical care delivery in a growing regional centre.
The Opportunity
This role offers more than a standard consultant position—it’s a chance to build, influence, and lead within a newly developed critical care environment.

Work within a majorly redeveloped health campus (approx. $190M investment)

Join at the launch phase of a new 8-bed ICU and HDU (mid-2026 opening)

Be instrumental in designing models of care, governance, and service delivery

About the Hospital
Geraldton Regional Hospital is a key regional referral centre within WA’s Midwest:

Approximately 100+ bed regional hospital (expanding with redevelopment)

Functions as a regional hub (Tier 2 capability) supporting surrounding communities

Services include Emergency, General Medicine, Surgery, Mental Health, and now expanding Critical Care

Salary & Benefits

Total package: approx. $412,000 – $523,000+ p.a. (incl. 12% super + PD allowance, dependent on experience)

Additional salary banding noted from $333,000 – $432,000 base ranges depending on contract structure

Requirements

Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine (or equivalent)
