Due to the Company's current growth, Lycopodium is currently recruiting for Structural and Mechanical Checkers to join our dynamic and growing Perth based team.
Reporting to the Design Coordinator the Structural and Mechanical Checkers will operate as an integral part of the drafting and design team in checking Lycopodium and industry standard design drawings, calculations and sketches, as well as review drawings and design data to ensure Vendor information is incorporated.
The tasks you’ll perform:
- Ensure that all CAD files strictly comply with the necessary Lycopodium and project CAD procedures.

Follow and implement all relevant Lycopodium standards and procedures to ensure compliance with these by drawings being checked.

Ensure drawings comply with all relevant Project Standards.

Review of drawings and design data to ensure Vendor information is incorporated.

Demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement of design and safety.

Ensuring design drawings comply with all relevant Australian and International standards.

Work collaboratively with personnel across all business units.
The expertise you’ll bring:
-
10+ years’ experience in Structural and Mechanical Design/Drafting
-
Minimum of 5 years in a checking role
-
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering Design Drafting
-
Proficiency in the design layout and detailing of materials handling and process plants (full plant layout experience is key)

Understanding of fabrication and construction techniques in the materials handling industry

Experience with MicroStation 2D and 3D
-
Highly developed people and relationship skills with demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplined professional team environment communicating and motivating effectively at all levels of the organisation
