AECOM's environmental practice is dedicated to helping industries, clients and governments meet their environmental responsibilities while protecting the natural environment. We provide advisory and technical services to ensure compliance, manage impacts, and reduce risks, including obtaining permits and approvals, decommissioning and restoring contaminated sites, and tackling climate change challenges and resilience. We focus on preserving habitats, water quality, stakeholder engagement and cultural resources, promoting a holistic approach to environmental impact management at every project stage.
Our WA Environment Business has a fantastic career opportunity for an Associate Director to join our Impact Assessment and Permitting (IAP) Team in Perth. This role will see you providing technical leadership and oversight within our group across a broad range of market sectors including Energy, Transport, Mining and Defence.

Prepare and review Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), technical reports and supporting environmental deliverables, applying strong technical expertise to develop high-quality assessment outcomes and approval documentation.

Manage project resources, budgets and financial performance, including monitoring expenditure, forecasting requirements and supporting the successful delivery of projects within agreed timeframes and budgets.

Utilise strong client relationships and significant industry experience to support development and training of leading-edge technical skills.

Build the technical capability of our team, focusing on enhancing their skills and expertise.

Apply exceptional understanding of EIA at both State and Commonwealth levels and the specific environmental challenges presented by the different market sectors that AECOM works with.

Significant, relevant experience managing complex projects and challenging timelines within a consultancy environment

Experience managing project financials, including budgets, resources, forecasting and invoicing.

Detailed understanding of Environmental Impact Assessment and experience in engaging with WA State and Commonwealth regulatory Authorities
-
Ability to critically review IAP deliverables and provide constructive feedback on technical accuracy and written quality
-
Strong focus on technical excellence and service delivery

Appropriate tertiary qualifications
