About the role
We are seeking an Electrical Technician to join our team in Kalgoorlie, supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our manufacturing plant and equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement in an industrial environment.
At Orica, you'll work alongside a supportive and experienced maintenance team, contribute to critical plant operations, and play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability and performance. Relocation assistance may be available for interstate candidates looking to make the move to Kalgoorlie. We also welcome applications from eligible candidates requiring either 482 Visa Sponsorship or DAMA sponsorship support.

What you will be doing
You will perform electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs to support safe and reliable plant operations;
Execute preventative and corrective maintenance activities to minimise equipment downtime;
Collaborate with the Maintenance Superintendent to develop practical and cost-effective maintenance solutions;
To support plant reliability and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance.
You will work closely with Production and Maintenance teams to optimise equipment performance and operational efficiency;
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Orica's Safety, Health and Environment (SH&E) standards and procedures.
What you will bring
A current Australian Electrical Licence (essential);
Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing, processing, mining, industrial or similar environment;
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills;
Commitment to maintaining high safety standards and safe work practices;
The ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment;
Instrumentation experience and SAP knowledge are highly regarded but not essential.
