We are an established corporate caterer on the city fringe looking for a part-time chef/cook for a minimum 20 hours per week.
We are looking for someone with the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen, previous catering experience will be highly valued.
- Ability to effectively follow instructions and absorb new information.
- Good communication skills and immaculate presentation.
- Team player with a can-do attitude.
- Understanding of Food Safety and OH&S.
- Use correct techniques and follow procedures and recipes when preparing and cooking menu items.
- Foundation knife skills and understanding of basic cookery terms and techniques.
- Detail focused.
- Outstanding time management.
- Calm and composed demeanor.
- Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
You will be working closely with the head chef and 2IC in preparing daily catering orders and working through prep lists.
This role is Monday to Friday 6am start time (no nights, no weekends) for a minimum of 20 hours per week (flexibility to work more hours per week based on business needs is ideal).
Pay: $33.05 per hour casual rate
