About the Role -chef position
We are looking for an experienced, organised and team-focused Chef to join our kitchen team. This role involves preparing high-quality food consistently, maintaining excellent kitchen standards, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of food preparation, cleanliness, organisation and teamwork, with the ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food to company recipes and standards
- Assist with daily food preparation and kitchen organisation
- Ensure food quality, consistency and presentation standards are maintained
- Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation
- Assist with stock rotation and minimising wastage
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Support smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Contribute positively to team culture and kitchen efficiency
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- Good understanding of food safety practices
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Positive attitude and willingness to help the team
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays when required
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (preferred but not essential)
- Food Safety Certificate
- Experience in high-volume food production or café environments advantageous

Junior Sous chef
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff during production and service
- Ensure food is prepared consistently to company standards
- Assist with rostering, workflow organisation and daily prep planning
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and kitchen organisation
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation
- Help train and develop junior kitchen staff
- Ensure efficient production for multiple retail locations
- Minimise wastage and maintain strong portion control
- Contribute to recipe development and seasonal menu ideas
Job Types: Full-time, Casual
Pay: $63,136.43 – $88,928.30 per year
