Full Job Description

BRITISH CARPENTERS PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter to join our growing team in Strathtulloh, Victoria. The successful applicant will undertake high-quality carpentry work across residential and commercial construction projects while maintaining excellent workmanship and complying with workplace health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret construction plans, drawings and specifications.
Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber, wood-based products and other building materials.
Construct, install and repair wall frames, roof frames, flooring systems, doors, windows, staircases and other structural components.
Install cladding, skirting boards, architraves, doors and other internal and external fixtures.
Erect and dismantle formwork for concrete structures where required.
Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
Work effectively with supervisors, clients and other trades to deliver projects on time.

Essential Requirements

Relevant trade qualification or equivalent industry experience.
At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Carpenter.
Sound knowledge of carpentry techniques, building materials and construction methods.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
White Card and a current Australian driver's licence are desirable.
