Cohort Staffing is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to lead the company’s financial operations and support the continued growth of the business.
This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing financial management, reporting, compliance, budgeting, and operational finance functions while supervising the finance team. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to support strategic decision-making and long-term business planning.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the company’s financial operations, accounting functions, and budgeting processes
- Prepare and review financial reports, forecasts, cash flow reports, and management reporting
- Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to support business growth and operational performance
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, taxation obligations, payroll requirements, and financial legislation
- Coordinate and improve financial systems, reporting procedures, and internal controls
- Supervise the finance team, including the Accountant, Bookkeeper, and Payroll Officer
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll oversight, and NDIS-related financial administration
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
- Support long-term financial planning and organisational growth initiatives
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior finance role
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards, taxation, payroll, and financial compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and organisational skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience within healthcare, disability services, recruitment, or staffing industries will be highly regarded
