As an Automotive Electrician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our reputation for quality by diagnosing, servicing, and maintaining both customer and stock vehicles & RVs to the highest standards. You will be adept at handling a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks with proficiency in using both hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic and computerised equipment.
This is a permanent full-time position with a competitive salary package ranging from $77,000 - $85,000 including guaranteed overtime plus tool allowance, superannuation; commensurate with experience and skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and maintain vehicles/RVs, ensuring all work is performed to manufacturer specifications and quality guidelines.
- Using test equipment to locate electrical and electronic malfunctions
- Dismantling and removing electrical and electronic assemblies and components
- Installing electrical equipment and electronic components in motor vehicles
- Connecting power-operated vehicle equipment and accessories to power supply
- Adjusting engine control systems and timing
- Testing and replacing defective alternators, generators, voltage regulators and startermotors
- Repairing and replacing faulty ignition and electrical wiring
- Replacing defective parts such as fuses, lamps and switches
- Understand and interpret repair order (RO) requirements accurately and efficiently.
- Perform test drives to diagnose issues and confirm service outcomes.
- Adhere to company policies and regulatory standards at all times.
- Accurately record work completed, both written and verbally, for accounting and documentation purposes.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, complying with all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and management, contributing to a positive and cooperative working atmosphere.
- Commitment to upholding a positive organisational image through excellent service and standard.
