The working hours are Monday – Friday, 08:00am – 12:00pm and a Saturday or Sunday, 08:00am – 12:00pm.
This position includes administration of schedule 8 medications, doing nursing assessments, and supporting clients with substance use. This includes brief counselling, telehealth, treatment planning, and working with other services for referrals and follow-up. A typical day includes routine opioid administration, assisting with prescriber clinics. Banksia Clinic supports clients from a broad area, including Wellington and surrounding areas.
Working with like-minded colleagues who are committed to delivering the best evidence-based care. The role also offers the benefit of scheduled appointments, allowing for structured and focused client care.
The team is professional, client-focused, and dedicated to providing quality care. The role involves working alongside the Community Health & Mental Health clinicians. Banksia Clinic works closely with Acacia Cottage in Dubbo.

The successful applicant will work closely with other registered nurses, enrolled nurses, the administration team, doctors, nurse practitioners, and OTP prescribers. The role currently reports to the Community Health Manager.
Orientation will be provided. Initially, shadowing current staff members and linked in with a mentor, 30-, 60- & 90-day conversations – actions plan to look at identified training required..
