Trade Overseer – Ground Maintenance External 5 Day

Employment type: Ongoing, Full Time 5D (5 Days)
Salary: $94,456 pa + Incidental Allowance + Leave Loading + Superannuation
Your Role:
As an Overseer within the correctional centre environment you will be required to supervise, coach and support inmates within a team environment to develop practical work skills, enhance post-release employment opportunities and contribute to the achievement of Service and Business Unit objectives.
As well as coordinate and oversee team operations to optimise productivity, efficiency and commercial outcomes while ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety standards, Quality Management requirements and customer service expectations.
Key Accountabilities:
Supervise, coach and support inmates to develop workplace skills, improve post-release employment opportunities and contribute to reduced re-offending outcomes
Demonstrate and promote professional values, including integrity, accountability and ethical conduct aligned with CSI and organisational standards
Support business unit operations through the delivery of inmate training programs, including Inmate Traineeships, and contribute to case management outcomes through the Work Readiness Program
Manage resources effectively and maintain a safe and compliant work environment in accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation
The Successful candidates are provided with paid training to undertake Certificate III in Correctional Practice at an allocated Corrective Services Academy training facility.
Qualifications Required:
Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or willing to obtain within 12 Months.
Relevant trade qualifications: Minimum Cert III in any of the following trades: Horticultural, Agriculture, Landscaping, Cleaning operations, Mechanic or related trades
Current NSW Drivers Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle while performing the role
Forklift licence desired, but not essential
Essential Requirements:
Proven post trade experience
Experience which demonstrates the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the role description.
Ability and willingness to work across varying trades as required.
