What you will do as the Talent Acquisition Advisor (APS5)
- Partner with hiring managers and senior leadership to understand workforce needs and develop tailored talent acquisition strategies.
- Leverage analytics and talent insights to identify and attract a diverse talent pipeline and proactively manage pipeline candidates.
- Plan and project manage large-scale recruitment processes (e.g. affirmative measures).
- Work with panels to support end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes ensuring they’re aligned with best practices as well as timely and cost-effective.
- Support Senior Executive recruitment processes.
- Coordinate the agency’s recruitment calendar, liaising across divisions to implement efficient and timely aligned recruitment processes.
- Implement a LinkedIn strategy, in partnership with the Assistant Director, and undertake data analysis and evaluate effectiveness of solution.
- Contribute to change and improvement in recruitment services including recommending system enhancements, documenting and improving processes and developing best practice talent acquisition materials.
What you will do as the Senior Talent Acquisition Advisor (APS6)
Undertake all the responsibilities of a Talent Acquisition Advisor as well as the following additional duties:
- Delegate work to APS4 and APS5 team members and project manage all acquisition activities ensuring that all timelines are met and quality candidates are sourced.
- Lead and coordinate SES recruitment and large-scale processes including working with selection panels, developing project plans, providing advice, advertising and making offers.
- Respond to complex recruitment queries, providing Tier 2 recruitment support.
- Monitor and report on branch plan outcomes and work with APS cohort to achieve People Branch priorities and deliver outcomes.
What you will do as the People Connect Advisor (APS5)
- Support the Assistant Director in ensuring the team provides quality service-oriented support to all stakeholders by providing training and quality assurance for junior team members.
- Coordinate and distribute tasks, maintain accountability for reviewing work and ensuring completion of tasks to the allocated timeframes.
- Apply your well-developed HR knowledge to a broad range of activities including recruitment, learning and development, general employment enquiries, basic reporting and work health and safety and provide second level of support for moderately complex HR queries.
- Coordinate projects and process improvements, including development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and documenting knowledge and best practice advice.
- Ensure quality and timely service-oriented support is provided to all stakeholders (in ServiceNow).
- Processing onboarding of employees into HR systems.
- Identify HR risks and areas of opportunity and escalate as appropriate.
- Support a range of HR Administration activities.
About you
In order to succeed in the role, you will have:
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to development and implementation of work plans and project plans as well as prioritise workload with minimal supervision.
- Experience developing and maintaining process documentation to support training, development and knowledge management of business processes.
- Experience working within complex, high pressure operating environments requiring high levels of resilience.
- Demonstrated experience proactively managing competing priorities and ensuring team tasks are completed to timeframes.
- The ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to provide accurate and timely process and policy advice to enquiries with some complexity in a human resources environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, AHRI accreditation and/or equivalent HR generalist experience.
- Knowledge of and experience applying Australian Public Service HR and Recruitment policies and practices.
In addition to the general criteria, as the APS5 Talent Acquisition Advisor you will require:
- Proven track record in sourcing and maintaining candidate talent pools.
- Extensive experience working with recruitment technology systems, including troubleshooting and identifying system enhancements.
- Experience in a similar role with a focus on recruitment and/or talent acquisition.
In addition to the general criteria and those listed under the APS5 Talent Acquisition Advisor role, as the APS6 Senior Talent Acquisition Advisor you will require:
- Demonstrated experience supervising team members or similar experience in a fast-paced and large complex people-centred organisation.
- Extensive experience in an APS recruitment/talent acquisition role.
In addition to the general criteria, as the APS5 People Connect Advisor you will require:
- Experience supervising the day-to-day operations of a small team and coordinating team activity.
- Demonstrated experience in undertaking quality assurance practices and providing feedback to colleagues and less experienced team members.
- Experience with recruitment, payroll and HR case management systems.

Salary:
APS5 Salary: $93,004 - $98,617 (plus 15.4% superannuation).
APS6 Salary: $102,947 - $115,384 (plus 15.4% superannuation).
