Temporary Part-time $66,873 – $76,061 per annum (depending on skills and experience), including an all incidence allowance of $6,290 per annum, employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. Temporary Full-time $83,591 – $95,076 including an all incidence allowance $7,863 per annum

About us

The Oxley Electorate Office is the point of contact for constituents and local community groups to engage with the Member for Oxley regarding state government services and responsibilities. Mr Kemp is the Member for Oxley.

About the position

Electorate officers are the initial point of contact for all constituent enquiries. The role involves administrative support to the Member to ensure the efficient operation of the electorate office.

Some of the duties that you would be expected to do include, responding to emails, printing cards and envelopes, managing financial records and book keeping, talking to people, writing letters and general admin procedures.

The role can require, although very rarely, some after hours and weekend work for which an annual All Incidence of Employment Allowance is paid.

Local knowledge is desirable, as well as strong communicative and listening skills for working with people.

Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to respectfully interact with constituents, liaise with community groups, government and non-government organisations.

Demonstrated organisational skills to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgement, ability to deal with sensitive and confidential issues, while performing at a high standard under limited supervision and within a team environment.

Excellent writing and administrative skills and an understanding of basic financial procedures.

An interest in, and understanding of, the NSW political context and Australian parliamentary procedures and processes.

Demonstrated research and analytical skills including the ability to analyse policy and legislation.
