About the Role

From establishing operational foundations and building capability to driving world-class performance, you will play a pivotal role in bringing this exciting venture to life. Leading the transition from commissioning and ramp-up through to operational maturity, you will have a rare opportunity to influence both the immediate success and long-term future of the operation.
This role offers you the opportunity to:
Lead a strategically significant operation at the forefront of Alcoa's growth and innovation.
Build and inspire a high-performing team, creating a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
Drive production, safety, quality and financial outcomes within a technically complex processing environment.
Influence operational strategy, performance and decision-making as the business evolves.
Partner closely with technical, engineering and maintenance teams to optimise reliability, performance and long-term value.
Contribute to the development of a new capability within Alcoa's global portfolio.
Located at our Wagerup Refinery this role will require occasional travel and attendance in Perth to support collaboration with the project team, particularly in the initial stages of the project.

What you can bring to the role
Tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related discipline.
Strong process operations knowledge, ideally gained in hydrometallurgical, refining, precious metals, chemical processing or related industries.
Extensive leadership experience within smaller-scale processing, chemical manufacturing or metallurgical operations, including the commissioning, start-up, ramp-up of such operations.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across operations, engineering, maintenance and technical functions.
Proven capability building high-performing teams, developing leaders and championing a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement.
