About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Technician / Mechanical Fitter to join our workshop team on the Sunshine Coast. This is primarily a workshop-based role focused on the repair, rebuilding, testing, and assembly of hydraulic components and systems.
The position suits someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, fault finding, and precision assembly in a clean and well-equipped workshop environment. Occasional onsite work may be required, however the role is predominantly workshop focused.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic component failures• Rebuild hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, and power units• Strip, assess, measure, and report on failed components• Assemble and test hydraulic equipment to manufacturer specifications• Manufacture and fit hydraulic hoses and tube assemblies• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings• Maintain accurate job records and service reports• Assist with workshop maintenance and housekeeping• Work safely and maintain high-quality workmanship standards
Skills & Experience
- Trade qualification – Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner, Diesel Fitter or similar• Experience working with hydraulic systems and components• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail• Ability to work independently and within a team• Experience with hydraulic fault finding and component rebuilding preferred• Forklift licence advantageous but not essential• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
