About the Role
Play your part in delivering one of WA’s largest infrastructure projects. As a Site Engineer (ITS/Electrical Scope) on the Tonkin Extension Alliance, you will support construction activities across critical early works and infrastructure packages.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain end-to-end exposure across the project lifecycle, starting with core civil works and progressing into Electrical and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) delivery.
You will work closely with multiple delivery teams across the project, interfacing with structures, heavy civils and services disciplines, giving you a comprehensive understanding of how large-scale infrastructure projects are delivered—not just your own scope.
This is an ideal role for a driven Site Engineer who wants to step beyond a single discipline and build broad, project-wide experience while being supported by experienced engineers and project leaders.
You don’t need direct ITS experience to be successful in this role. A solid foundation in civil construction, a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn are far more important.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate construction schedules and work programs to meet project targets
- Monitor project performance, including daily cost tracking and reporting
- Support procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers
- Provide on-site technical support and ensure compliance with specifications and drawings
- Identify and manage risks while maintaining strong HSEQ standards
- Work closely with multiple delivery teams to support integrated project delivery
Your Skills and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
- Experience working on civil construction or infrastructure projects
- Understanding of civil construction, QA processes and site-based delivery
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a collaborative team
- A hands-on approach and willingness to get involved in site activities
- Drive, curiosity and willingness to learn new scopes and systems
- Exposure to Electrical or ITS packages is advantageous, but not essential
