The role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Brand, Experience and Connection to join our Brand, Experience and Connection team within the broader Member Experience business unit.
This critical role will lead how brand, member experience, and engagement evolve across GESB, bringing together strategy, insight, and execution to create a more connected and consistent experience. It will support GESB’s continued uplift across brand, experience, and member engagement, driving retention and data-led member actions across channels, while fostering collaboration and capability uplift to improve overall member outcomes.
This is a full-time position on a five-year fixed term contract.

Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Chief Member Experience Officer to set the vision and direction for how GESB engages with members.
- Lead the evolution of customer experience, engagement, communication, and brand capability
- Drive more personalised, data and insight-led engagement strategies
- Integrate member experience, campaigns, content, and digital engagement
- Use customer insights and behavioural profiling to improve outcomes
- Embed modern, agile, and collaborative ways of working
- Partner across the business to align engagement initiatives with broader organisational strategy
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in data strategy, analytics, and insights, including leveraging data to support personalised customer experience and inform decision-making
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to connect data, brand, communications, and customer experience to broader organisational objectives
- Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across customer experience (CX) and marketing functions, including brand, content, communications, and retention campaigns
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing organisation-wide CX strategies, including member segmentation models and lifecycle engagement programs
- Strong track record in brand strategy, governance, and positioning, including managing internal and external partners to deliver integrated outcomes
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience across brand, customer experience, and marketing, ideally within superannuation, financial services, or other highly regulated/member-based sectors
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business, Design, Psychology, or a related discipline
