Alpine Valley Hardware (Alpine Truss) is part of the Metcash group of companies and is looking for an experienced and motivated Frame & Truss Designer to join our team in Wangaratta. This role is full time and a pivotal part of the company, from design and developing trusses to liaising with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Use relevant software to design roof trusses and wall frames, creating layouts.
- Receiving plans from clients directly.
- Ensure work complies with relevant standards and Codes of Practice.
- Develop designs for manufacture.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers and contractors during all stages of planning and construction.
- Address any discrepancies, changes, or corrections as required.
Essential Skills
- Skilled in designing timber roof trusses using MiTek’s 20/20 engineering software.
- Proficient in reading and understanding building and architectural designs.
- Strong mathematical skills and high attention to detail.
- Effective communication with customers, architects and engineers.
Salary
$75,000 - $80,000 (depending on experience)
