Full Job Description

Position: Cook

About the Role

BMX Burgers is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Cook to join our growing team in Umina Beach. This hands-on role is suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is capable of supporting both kitchen and customer service operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare, assemble, and cook burgers and other menu items to company standards
Assist with daily food preparation, including portioning, ingredient preparation, and kitchen setup
Ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods
Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures
Assist with stock rotation, stock control, and delivery checks
Support front-of-house operations when required, including customer interaction and order taking
Process customer orders using the point-of-sale system
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment at all times

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in hospitality, fast food, takeaway, café, or restaurant environments is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks
Understanding of food handling, preparation techniques, and hygiene requirements
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused attitude
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
