Are you passionate about supporting people on their recovery journey and creating meaningful change within your community?
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Coordinator to join our Wagga Wagga Recovery Hub. Working closely with the Partnerships & Program Coordinator, you will deliver high-quality, recovery-oriented support to individuals impacted by AOD, gambling, and mental health challenges, while providing operational support to staff and partner organisations.
About the Role
As a Senior Care Coordinator, you will provide person-centred support through assessment, care coordination, case management, psychosocial interventions, group work, education, and referrals. You will also contribute to service leadership, support team capability, and ensure best-practice outcomes for participants.
This is a full-time role based in Wagga Wagga, NSW. Salary is in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 5.
How you will make an impact

Deliver high-quality case management, assessments, referrals, education, and psychosocial support.

Manage a caseload and model best-practice service delivery.

Support day-to-day operations of the Wagga Wagga Recovery Hub.

Develop and monitor treatment and recovery plans, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.

Build strong referral pathways and collaborative relationships with partner organisations and stakeholders.

Promote participant engagement, feedback, and continuous service improvement.

Provide supervision, coaching, and support to staff, volunteers, students, and partner staff.

Contribute to recruitment, staff development, reflective practice, and team wellbeing.

Represent the service through presentations, networking, and sector meetings.
What you will bring
You are an experienced and collaborative practitioner with a strong commitment to recovery-oriented practice and positive client outcomes. You are confident supporting people experiencing AOD, gambling, and mental health challenges while helping develop the capability of those around you.
Essential Requirements

Diploma qualification in AOD, Community Services, Mental Health, Social Services, or a related field; or equivalent sector experience and expertise.

Completed AOD Skill Set Units (or willingness to complete during employment).

Experience supporting people impacted by substance use, gambling, and mental health challenges.

Knowledge of harm minimisation, brief interventions, and recovery-focused approaches.

Strong case management, assessment, care planning, and record-keeping skills.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving abilities.

Experience supervising or mentoring staff, volunteers, or students.

Knowledge of the AOD, mental health, community services, and health sectors.

Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culturally diverse communities.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with partner organisations and external stakeholders.
