Full Job Description

Vanderbilt is a diversified investment company with a strong presence in real estate development, construction, and luxury wellness experiences. In addition to our property acquisitions and developments, we own and operate Vanderbilt Wellness, a collection of premium European-style bathhouses.

The Role

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day financial operations across our real estate, construction, and wellness businesses. This includes Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), GST compliance, and general financial reporting. You will work closely with senior management to maintain accurate and timely financial records, supporting both project-based and operational financial activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
Assist with preparation and lodgement of BAS and GST returns in compliance with Australian tax regulations.
Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts.
Assist with preparation and analysis of monthly management reports, financial forecasts, and budgets for real estate, construction, and wellness operations.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Assist with development of cash flow models, feasibility studies, and cost tracking to support investment decisions across real estate, construction, and wellness ventures.
Assist with construction finance processes, loan drawdowns, and cost control to ensure efficient capital allocation.
Assist with management of financial performance for Vanderbilt Wellness operations, ensuring operational cost efficiencies and profitability.
Prepare payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Assist with end-of-month closing and year-end financial reporting.
Implement and refine financial controls, reporting systems, and cost management strategies.

About You

CPA or CA qualification (or working towards).
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within real estate or construction.
Proficiency in AP/AR management, GST compliance, and financial reporting.
Strong financial modelling, cash flow forecasting, and feasibility analysis skills.
Experience with construction finance, loan facilities, and project cost management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
