Full-time Sous Chef
Brisbane, QLD
$35 per hour + superannuation

School term-based full-time role

THE POSITION

Food preparation and cooking
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control, and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards
Providing friendly customer service
Function catering and large-volume cooking
Stocktaking and inventory control
Ensuring HACCP compliance, food safety procedures, and adherence to OH&S regulations
General kitchen and cleaning duties as required

THE PERSON

Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent Chef trade qualification)
Experience in bulk cooking
Proven experience delivering high-quality catering for meetings, events, and functions
Highly organised, energetic, and hands-on leader
Passionate about healthy and nutritious food, with strong knowledge of food safety and allergen management compliance
Experience working in functions and large-volume kitchens
Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
Sound understanding of OH&S regulations, food safety requirements, and HACCP compliance
