About the team

As part of the Business and Legal team, you will contribute to the delivery of the nationally recognised Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122), the cornerstone qualification for vocational education and workplace training.

Our students come from diverse industries and backgrounds, including current trainers, workplace educators, vocational experts, and professionals seeking to transition into training and assessment roles. The team is passionate about equipping learners with the practical skills and confidence to design engaging learning experiences, develop industry-relevant assessment practices, and support adult learners to achieve successful outcomes.

About the Role

As a TAE TAFE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, industry-relevant education and training to students enrolled in the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Course.

You will be expected to develop and deliver engaging and innovative learning materials, assess student performance, and provide feedback and support to ensure student success.

Position Key Duties

Deliver and assess TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment competencies
Fostering a working environment that is respectful to all students and staff
Establishing and maintaining a positive learning environment
Support students to build skills for work in legal environments
Contributing to the continuous improvement for the course by being involved with the design, development and validation of its training and assessment resources.
Maintaining accurate course and student records according to organisational and regulatory requirements

Position Details

Salary: $98.34 per hours (teaching), $63.29 per hour (non-teaching)
Employment Type: Sessional (TAFE)
Location: Footscray Nicholson

About You

We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about Training and Assessing education and committed to teaching the next generation of VET professionals.

You must hold:

Recent and relevant industry experience
TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training/TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or TAE50211 Diploma of Training, Design and Development/TAE50216 Diploma of Training, Design and Development or its successor
Current police check valid within 6 months or willingness to obtain one
Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one

Please note: The University is a Child Safe organisation. You will be required to hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain one prior to commencing employment.
