Are you interested in undertaking your clinical placement with the supportive Maternal and Child Health team at South Gippsland Shire Council?
We are now taking applications from Child and Family Health University students to undertake their clinical placement with us in 2027.
Our team support aspiring Maternal and Child Health Nurses with clinical placements to support fulltime and part time university enrolments. Our service provides professional nursing and midwifery support and advice for families with children from birth to school age.
Application requirements include:
- Having at least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse and three years’ experience as a hospital-based Midwife
- Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife
- Preparation to enrol in a university postgraduate Child and Family Health qualification once a placement is confirmed
- Availability to attend block placements (minimum two days per week recommended)
- Ability to complete all pre-placement checks, including reference checks, and provide confirmation of University conducted police check and employee Working with Children Check
