About the Role

Benvenuti Cucina & Pizzeria is seeking a skilled and passionate Experienced Pizza Maker to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of traditional and modern pizza-making techniques, a commitment to food quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and stretch pizza dough by hand according to restaurant standards.
Prepare and organize toppings, sauces, and ingredients to ensure freshness and quality.
Operate and manage pizza ovens, monitoring cooking times and temperatures.
Produce high-quality pizzas consistently, maintaining presentation and taste standards.
Assist with dough preparation, fermentation, and daily kitchen prep work.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
Monitor stock levels and notify management of ingredient requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times.
Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service.
Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures as required.

Skills and Experience

Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Pizza Maker in a busy restaurant, pizzeria, or Italian kitchen.
Strong understanding of dough preparation, proofing, stretching, and baking techniques.
Experience using, gas, or electric pizza ovens.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain quality during peak service periods.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
Passion for Italian cuisine and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Pay: $27.00 – $32.00 per hour
