Registered Nurse Grade 2 – Operating Theatre – Scrub Scout
Both full-time and part-time, ongoing positions available.
Up to $84,188.00 (YP2) - $107,510.00 (YP9) base salary per annum - Full-time equivalent pro-rated for Part-Time.
Parkville location, with multiple transport options at our doorstep.

Our Patients
The operating suite provides a comprehensive service for patients undergoing complex cancer surgery ranging from endoscopy through to specialised robotic surgery and complex multi-speciality cases. Our surgical specialties include colorectal, upper gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, breast, reconstruction, urology, melanoma and plastics, head and neck, sarcoma, and vascular. Our patients also have access to high dose intraoperative radiotherapy (brachytherapy), and intraoperative chemotherapy (hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy). We support patients from across Victoria, Australia and New Zealand.

Our Facilities
The operating suite is located on level 6 at Peter Mac and boasts eight operating theatres and ten PACU bays within our purpose-built facility. Peter Macs state of the art infrastructure also includes, intraoperative radiotherapy, two and three-dimensional laparoscopic equipment and the Da Vinci Robot. Peter Mac sits within the Parkville precinct and is easily accessible by public transport, bicycle or car with staff parking available onsite. Peter Mac also boasts great coffee and food at our multiple cafés.

The Perioperative Clinical Nurse Education team also provide support and guidance to pursue postgraduate qualification in perioperative nursing.
In addition to clinical learning opportunities, you will also have access to our Compassion and Resilience Education (CARE), which is a full day coarse focuses on wellbeing and selfcare for nurses.
Remuneration under the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024-2028 will be from Registered Nurse Grade 2 Year 1 (YP2) $84,188.00 - Registered Nurse Grade 2 Year 8 (YP9) $107,510.00 per annum (full-time equivalent - to be pro rated for part-time hours) depending on candidate experience. Responsible for provision of comprehensive perioperative patient care as governed by the ACORN Standards for perioperative practice in Australia and the policies, procedures and processes of the Operating Suite and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
