About the role:

The Senior Executive Coordinator plays an advisory role and senior support role to ensure the office of the Chief Communications Officer (CCO) operates effectively and efficiently. It will lead the provision of high-quality executive support services, including governance, project management and administration activities, to enable the CCO and Directors to focus on decision making and delivering priorities.

This role, which reports to the Head of Strategy and Governance, helps lead program and project management across a range of initiatives across the Communications and Engagement Branch. It is responsible for managing the timely delivery of quality outcomes on a rolling program of strategic initiatives, driving the achievement of milestones, project benefits, timelines and implementation. The role has a continuous improvement focus and is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve ways of working, efficiencies and collaboration across the branch.

About you:

Can you demonstrate the following?

Helps drive CCO and branch-wide governance processes and alignment with corporate requirements
Provides a range of timely and effective executive support functions, including managing the office's diary, managing the inbox, providing high-quality support to committees, preparing reports, and providing briefs and correspondence on complex issues.
Develops clear project plans, milestones and deliverables, and monitors progress to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Coordinates internal teams, stakeholders and external providers to support successful project implementation.
Ensures communication and engagement activities comply with organisations policies, governance frameworks and government requirements.
Provides advice on governance processes, approvals and documentation to support effective decision-making.

Qualifications / Specialist Expertise

Experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, media or related field within government or a complex organisation will be highly regarded.
