2027 Anaesthetic Registrar (Independent)

- Fixed Term 12 months Full Time
Candidates are encouraged to apply for the position of Anaesthetic Registrar at GV Health in Shepparton. These positions are not affiliated with a rotational scheme, but you will be eligible and encouraged to registrar with ANZCA as an independent trainee for 12 months.
The positions are also suitable for registrars seeking to gain anaesthetic training time as part of the CICM, dual ANZCA/CICM or ACEM fellowships.
These position are not open to doctors that require supervision as part of the SIMG process and preference will be given to current ANZCA Basic or Advanced Trainees.

The Anaesthetic Department is accredited for 104 weeks of training by ANZCA, across introductory, basic and advanced. We are part of the Eastern and Regional Victoria rotational training schemes. Our Critical Care Unit is a College of Intensive Care Medicine accredited G6 general training site.
Shepparton is located in central Victoria and is just two hours’ drive north of Melbourne with proximity to alpine snowfields, rivers and lakes, wineries and the arts. What you need to be successful
- Enthusiasm for a role that provides significant experience in anaesthesia, pain management and perioperative medicine
- Minimum of three years' postgraduate experience including 3 months in anaesthesia
- Drive to be actively involved in the clinical development and academic activities of the anaesthetic department and the health service as a whole
- A high standard of written and verbal communication skills
- A practical common-sense approach to problem solving & trouble shooting
- The ability to work as part of a team collaboratively
