Permanent Part time | 0.53 EFT | 20 hours per week

About the role

We are looking for an Extended Postnatal Care Coordinator to lead our clinical teams and support our Midwifery Unit Managers in Extended Postnatal Care. The EPC Coordinator, together with the Midwifery Unit Managers form the management team responsible for patient centred care, high quality clinical care, and the efficient operational running of the ward. The EPC Coordinator leads and coordinates EPC Vists and Midwives accross Eastern Health. This postion is based at Angliss but will require travel to Box Hill at times.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

Current Midwifery registration with AHPRA

Previous experience in an EPC Coordinator, Associate manager role, supervisory role or CMS role

Experience in extended postnatal care

Experience and commitment to quality improvement work and portfolio development

Ongoing commitment to professional development

Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience

A strong commitment to high quality care

The ability to work as part of a diverse team

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Awareness and understanding on National Health Standards and Accreditation Standards

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
