Provide a high-quality diagnostic service to patients of the Illawarra region consistent with the accepted professional practices, standards and policies of ISHLD.
The Level 2 Medical Radiation Scientist (MRS) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care while undertaking a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as well as contributing to departmental research activities.
All staff are expected to act as an appropriate and effective role model and promote culture and supporting practices that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment through demonstrated behaviours and interactions with patients, clients and employees.

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
