Squared Quality Solutions (SQS) is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join a well-established Queensland property and construction group delivering major development projects across Queensland.
Projects may include commercial, mixed-use, residential and large-scale development projects across multiple sectors.
This role is suited to a commercially minded construction professional who enjoys working closely with operational delivery teams across procurement, subcontract management, commercial administration and project coordination.
Working alongside Project Managers and delivery personnel, you will play a key role in supporting successful project outcomes from pre-construction through to project completion.
About the Role
The Contract Administrator will be responsible for the commercial and contractual administration of active construction projects, supporting procurement, subcontractor management, project cost control, claims administration and reporting activities throughout the project lifecycle.
You will work closely with project delivery teams, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure strong commercial controls, accurate project administration and efficient project coordination across all phases of delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Contract Administration
- Administer subcontractor and supplier agreements across the project lifecycle
- Manage variations, progress claims, EOTs and contractual correspondence
- Support cost tracking, forecasting and subcontractor payment processes
- Maintain procurement, variation, defects and commercial reporting registers
- Assist with subcontractor reconciliations and final account processes
Procurement & Project Coordination
- Prepare procurement documentation, RFQs and subcontract comparisons
- Coordinate subcontractor engagement and procurement activities
- Monitor procurement schedules, long-lead items and delivery risks
- Assist with project reporting, meeting coordination and action tracking
- Support consultant coordination and document management workflows
Site & Delivery Support
- Work closely with site teams to verify progress and support claims assessments
- Participate in site walks, inspections and project coordination activities
- Coordinate practical completion documentation and project close-out requirements
- Maintain accurate records across Procore, Aconex and project management systems
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Contract Administrator or similar commercial role within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of procurement, subcontract administration and project delivery processes
- Commercial awareness and strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced project environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with Procore, Aconex, Excel, Bluebeam, CostX or similar systems highly regarded
Qualifications
- Degree qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related discipline preferred
- Current White Card
- Current Driver Licence
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
