Mater Private Hospital Townsville has an exciting opportunity for experienced Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy Unit. Based at our Pimlico campus We offer modern endoscopy services in comfortable facilities, led by Gastroenterologists, Surgeons and Nurses who will make your stay as stress-free as possible. We provide access to straight forward procedures including gastroscopy to more complex procedures like ERCP’s.
Salary range: $42.99 - $55.14 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
- Providing quality care to patients undergoing Endoscopy and minor procedures. Includes pre/intra and post procedure care
- Working within a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with other health professionals in the delivery of health care including preparing patients for discharge
- Working to ensure continuous quality improvement and abiding by risk management guidelines
- Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
About you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Demonstrated experience in Endoscopy is preferred but not necessary
- VISA Sponsorship opportunities available for suitably experienced international nurses
- Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate patient care and competency in clinical problem solving
- Exposure to admissions, recovery and procedural areas
- Available to work across all shifts and on-call
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Demonstrated competency in written and verbal communications and the ability to maintain accurate clinical and assessment data
