Full Job Description

Bushland Beach Medical Centre is a positive, enthusiastic and successful medical practice, striving to deliver excellence in health, continuing quality improvement and best practice medicine and clinical care.

We are looking for a friendly, highly motivated receptionist that will thrive in a team environment to join our support team of administrators and clinical staff on a Full time or Permanent Part Time basis.

We will provide you:

On site training to develop your administrative skills
Supportive working environment with a friendly group of Doctors and a great team of Administration Staff and Nurses
Fully computerised facilities
Opportunities for development in your role

The successful candidate will be a valued member of our team and have a positive and friendly attitude towards team members and patients.

Responsibilities of this role include:

Reception & Administration

Open and close clinic.
Communicate with patients via phone, email and in person, in a courteous and efficient manner.
Schedule appointments for patients.
Issue patient invoices/receipts and bulk bill as required.
Enter and update patient registration details.
Exercise confidentiality with regards to patient care and all aspects of the practice.
Assist doctors and nurses as requested and required.

Correspondence management.

General housekeeping such as tidying and cleaning of waiting room and other practice facilities when necessary

To be ideal for this role, you must have the following attributes:

Bright and friendly personality
Excellent communication skills
Previous experience in a Medical Receptionist role
High level of computer literacy
Previous experience with Best Practice Software or similar is advantageous
Self-motivated and an ability to work unsupervised
Reliable with strong work ethic
